Furniture hinges are small but so significant components that make your doors and lids open or close without any bother. With no hinges, we would have cabinet doors or furniture doors that simply would not function correctly. They link two pieces of furniture and allow them glide smoothly. Occasionally, hinges become loose or break, making the door difficult to operate and noisy. A smart purchase of the right hinge can save you time and ensure your furniture lasts a long, long time. At Wejoy we understand, hinges are not only metal parts. They must be strong, well-fitting and durable through years of use. Wejoy creates hinges that do all of those things, and more—helping people keep their furniture working better for longer.
There is a lot to be considered when choosing hinges for cabinets, but the most important are strength and durability. Some hinges are simply made from soft metals and will bend or break with repeated use. Wejoy does, however, use robust materials for its hinges, ranging from the tried-and-true (stainless steel) to the less common (zinc alloy). Those metals also are resistant to rust, so they’ll keep performing in kitchens or bathrooms that develop moisture. Also, there can be different types of hinges. For instance, hidden hinges disappear inside the cabinet so the exterior appears clean and seamless. They even shield the hinge from debris and impacts. Conversely, visible hinges may be simpler to repair but may also appear dated or rusty. Wejoy concentrates on the hinge which is not strong but also beautiful. Our hinges can support a great weight of door and do not make any noise. (And they glide smoothly, so the door opens and shuts quietly.) To that end, people often neglect the fact that screws and installation matter, too. But even the best hinge won’t perform well if it is not mounted correctly. Wejoy is also offering step-by-step instructions and customer support to ensure that each hinge fits perfectly. A second thing to consider is the hinge size. Large cabinets will require larger hinges or more than two for each door. There were probably small, light hinges involved and possibly one of them snapped. Wejoy have many sizes to fit various daily furniture requirement, including Cabinet and Drawer. In summary, great hinges are those that allow cabinet doors to open with ease while ensuring they stay firm and last for years. With some cheap or weak hinges, problems abound quickly. That’s why Wejoy uses sturdy materials, clever designs and painstaking workmanship to help you keep furniture looking great for longer.
When you’re purchasing hinges in bulk, stores or factories require some clever thinking. Not all hinges are the same, and quality can differ tremendously. When Wejoy offer the hinges to wholesale, we will check many things at first. One is the material. Good hinges are the result of metals that don’t wear out or rust quickly. Stainless steel is popular because it remains strong and appears clean after repeated uses. Zinc based alloys work well and can be formed in intricate patterns. Another thing is the movement of the hinges. Quiet and nonstick: Smooth hinges don’t squeak or get gummed up. Some hinges have special parts inside them called dampers that slow the door closing, so it doesn’t slam shut. They’re perfect in homes with kids or quiet offices. And the finish on the hinge is super important, too. Some of the hinges have coatings that protect against rust or scratches. Wejoy also provides hinges with various finishes such as nickel or chrome plating that make the metal safe and shiny. When purchasing wholesale, you also want to look for ease of installation with the hinges. Complex hinges add time to the job and invite mistakes. Wejoy creates a hinge that can be installed on most cabinets in no time and without additional tools. The other thing is value vs. quality tradeoff. Cheap hinges also can break more quickly and end up costing more in the long run, said Julie Rybarczyk of Household Wonders, a home organizing consultant. It makes more sense to invest a little more in better hinges (from Wejoy, for instance) because they last longer and work better. Finally, if you are purchasing a large quantity of hinges, it’s reassuring to know the supplier is listening and behind you. Wejoy will cooperate with you to offer any needed support to create long term business opportunity. This level of trust and service really matters when you’re buying hinges for many pieces of furniture. So hinging is more than a matter of price; it involves material, design and ease as well as support.
The installation of furniture hinges may seem like a stiff task, but there are some simple steps that it requires. At Wejoy, we know good hinges help your furniture work the way you want it to. The first thing you have to figure out is the hinges for your furniture. And you’ll also want to be sure that they’re the right weight and size for what you’re using them for — if it’s a door or lid, once again. Heavy doors require more robust hinges, while small cabinet doors can get away with standard ones. Once you have got the perfect hinges, it’s time to gather up your tools: a drill, screwdriver pencil and measuring tape. We then just very carefully measured where the hinge would have to go in. Most of the time, hinges are installed to top and bottom edges the door. Make little pencil marks so you know where to drill holes. Make sure the marks on the door and cabinet frame are perfectly aligned. With the location of holes for mounting screws marked, drill small pilot holes. This makes the screws slide in easy without breaking the wood. This time, mount the hinge to the door first by using some screws. Now, hold the door up to to the frame with other side of hinge lined up at marks on frame. Screw the hinge on to the frame. It is important to screw in tight but not too tight, so the hinge moves like it should. After you have installed both hinges, open and close the door several times gently. You are looking for whether it rolls smoothly, without jumping or being too noisy or sticky. If the door squeaks or groans when it opens, and feels stiff on its hinges, you can add a tiny drop of oil or some special hinge lubricant to make it as silent and easy to use as your favorite doorknob. Wejoy door hinges are designed to work smoothly and hold up over time, but installing is the key for best performance. And don’t forget: If you take your time and measure accurately, your furniture will look neat and work well every day. These easy instructions will teach you how to repair or construct any piece of furniture that feels just right.
Furniture hinges don’t always work like they’re supposed to, but fortunately many of them are easy to replace. At Wejoy, we recognize that the hinge is small but a very crucial part of furniture. One issue he frequently encounters is a door that sags or droops. This occurs when the screws holding on the hinge are loosed or when the wood surrounding a screw gets rutted. To remedy this, start with the screws. Carefully tighten them with a screwdriver. If the wood is soft or funky, repair it by inserting small wooden toothpicks or matchsticks (not burnt) with a dab of wood glue into the hole. Let it dry and then screw the hinge back in. A second problem is noisy or squeaky hinges. This noise occurs when the metal parts are rubbing together without sufficient oil or grease. Easy Fix: (the short term) Use a bit of oil (or if you want to be fancy, some type of hinge lubricant) on the moving parts of the hinge. Open and shut the door a couple of times to coat with oil. However, sometimes the door simply opens and does not latch securely. This issue can occur if the hinge is bent or door isn’t aligned properly. Look at the hinge to see if it appears bent or damaged. If it is, replace yours with one of the Wejoy replacement hinges that match your furniture. If the hinge is all right, try loosening the screws a tad and repositioning the door. Then, tighten the screws again. If the door still catches, fine sanding (a light touch) of either coaster or the door frame can make it close better. Lastly, hinges may rust if exposed to industrial levels of dampness. Rust will bind the hinge until the only means of opening it is with a crowbar — and also damage whatever furniture or equipment it’s attached to. To prevent rust, wipe down the hinge with a cloth dabbed in vinegar or rust remover. After cleaning, use oil or lubricant to prevent the metal from rust. If the rust is too much, you can make a variety of hinges with new Furniture decorative that fits the best. With these common problems and simple solutions, your furniture doors will work well for years. Maintaining hardware isn’t difficult but it will help keep your furniture lasting and looking great.
